OEM or OEE, What do I need? Original Equipment Equivalent (OEE) auto glass is made to the same standards, but by a different manufacturer. OEE (aftermarket) glass is less expensive and more readily available to the consumer.

With more aftermarket manufactures of glass, the ability to get the specific glass that you're needing, becomes an easier task.

What is a tempered piece of glass?  A tempered piece of glass is very hard. Also known as “safety glass”, tempered glass is 4x stronger than regular glass .  It can be clear, light green, or privacy etc.  When tempered glass is broken, it shatters into squared off pieces instead of knife life shards.

Laminated simply put is two layers of glass glued together. Your windshield is 2 layers of glass with a polyvinyl butyral (PVB). This makes the 2 pieces act as one for structural integrity. This is one of the reasons your vehicle won't pass inspection with a crack in it.

Regulators are located in your doors and some hatches.  It is the mechanical devices that moves your glass up and down safely.  In the old days it was the roll up type and in modern vehicles they are all electric.
